Current Faves: Blog, Beauty, Lifestyle

It’s not often I can get a reasonable favourites list together, so I’m taking advantage of this rare occasion. A few of these products will have been mentioned in my recent haul, but I’ve had 1-3 months to try those items now and some of them have definitely become faves.

Bread Love Affair

Funnily enough, my favourite blog isn’t a beauty one – I’ve been loving this one for months. If you’re interested in a lighthearted, humorous, journal-style blog of someone that keeps things real and is just pulling through life like so many of us, this one is perfect. On top of the fact that this blog makes me chuckle on a dull day, Nichole has become my semi-twin across the ocean; the first friend I made through blogging. She’s so easy to talk to and she’s extremely supportive. This girl has such a big heart and I wish her all the success in the world.

L’Oreal Lash Paradise Extatic (£11.99)
L'Oreal Lash Paradise Extatic Mascara Wand

Well this is no surprise… No explanations needed! (I’m so late). My last post was all about this.

NYX Eye Blending Brush (16) (£9)
Nyx eye blending brush

This is officially the softest, fluffiest eye brush I own and it blends so well. When I’m earning money again, I’ll be all over the NYX brushes.

Bath & Body Works Moonlight Path Fine Fragrance Mist ($6/£4.52)
Bath and Body Works Moonlight Path-min

So I realise this is a LOT of body spray… Let me explain.
When I went to New York last year, I was so bloody excited to go to Bath & Body Works. I bought a few travel size bits as I didn’t want to add too much weight to my suitcase. My favourite discovery was the Moonlight Path range, but because we don’t have Bath & Body works in the UK, I haven’t wanted to use up my products!

Fortunately, my brother went on a spontaneous trip to New York last month and I asked him to pick me up 3 travel size body sprays (3 for $12|£9.03). Apparently the staff were really cool and offered multiple deals/freebies, so that’s how he ended up getting 6 for essentially the price of 3. I can’t complain. I like having a small spray in my handbag for those just-in-case-you-feel-a-tad-smelly emergency-type moments, and these should last ages.

NYX Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick – Soft Spoken (£7)
Nyx Liquid Suede Soft Spoken

The most beautiful matte liquid lipstick formula I’ve tried so far. This stuff lasts pretty much all day and is unaffected by eating (at least one meal). I’m honestly not one to touch up any part of my makeup over the course of the day, so this is perfect for me. I enjoy the flat applicator too – it’s so precise. This colour is definitely gonna be a go-to for Autumn, it’s gorgeous!

Silent Night Airmax Mattress Topper (£43.99 double)
Silent Night mattress topper

I discovered mattress toppers a few years ago and I can’t go without one anymore. They’re an absolute life changer. I recently got a new bed and the mattress was slightly too firm, so I took that as the golden opportunity to get a new topper as my last one had gone flat. This Silent Night one is quite thick for non-memory foam. It’s really soft; kinda feels like I’m laying on a thin duvet. Can’t deny that my sleep has been better and my back hasn’t been hurting since I got this.

Sealy Anti-Allergy Pillows (£15 a pair)
Sealy Anti-Allergy Pillows

I’m really fussy with pillows. They can’t be too flat, but they also can’t be too chunky/firm. These pillows are so perfect – they’re bouncy, supportive and give me just the right amount of height. No more neck ache! Its been around a month since I got these and they haven’t gone flat. I’ve also been gravitating towards everything anti-allergy lately, so I’m glad they tick that box. I’m gonna buy more!
(On another note: how awesome are these pillow cases?)

Mitchum Deodorant (£2.99)
Mitchum Spray Deodorant

Okay this is a weird one. I didn’t expect to ever be writing about a deodorant. I’ve never really been a fan of sprays – I’ve been using roll-ons for the longest time. I tried the roll-on version of this and absolutely hated it. I swear, it felt like I had white, plastic armpits.

A friend recommended this spray to me and even though I was hesitant, after trying it once, I bulk bought about 4 (they were half price). It smells so beautifully fresh and actually keeps you dry for the whole day – I don’t expect any deodorant to work for 48hrs, I sweat like a beast (TMI? Soz).

Let’s keep this post an acceptable length (did you see how huge my haul was?!)

What have you been loving this month? Specific blogs? (I’m still on the hunt for new people to follow!) Makeup items? TV shows?
