In the spirit of disliking Valentines day, I’m gonna share a list of things I currently like very much.
Am I the only one that thinks Valentines day is ridiculous? Just another money making craze? What about the other days in the year? We can treat our loved ones and show them what they mean to us any day of the year; several of those 365 days even and we don’t need to make so many single people feel like crap.
Anyway, what I’m currently loving:
One Tree Hill
This will forever be my all time favourite TV show.
I loved it when it was airing, I got the complete boxset on DVD, and now it’s available on Prime Videos I am a happy gal! Winding down with a little One Tree Hill every night is perfect.
Perhaps it’s just the thrill of over-buying beautiful, soft, squishy yarn… But I’m convinced that I love knitting.
It’s super relaxing and makes me feel creative, thinking about all the possible projects out there – all those things to make, all the different patterns!
I’ve always been a sucker for a scented candle, but I’ve recently become a bit of a candle snob. It’s definitely worth spending a little more on a candle, so it keeps its smell for longer and has a longer burn time.

As an example: I can burn through a Primark candle in a couple of days, but a Rituals candle of the same size will take weeks (at least) to burn out.
Speaking of Rituals, they have one of my favourites at the moment – The Ritual of Ayurveda is an absolutely lush, calming scent.
And there’s a quote on the other side of the jar, that says: “It’s not happy people who are thankful, it’s thankful people who are happy.”
I also spent an hour in the Yankee Candle outlet at the o2 and got 3 candles. I literally wanted to buy the whole store.
What I’m currently burning:
Tisserand Total De-Stress Diffuser Oil
I’ve had a diffuser for quite some time now, but it took me a while to get used to it. It has so many benefits, including:
– Working wonders for my skin in the winter, which gets really dry due to the heating being on so much
– Helping clear my nose and ease headaches when I have a cold
– It’s insanely relaxing and in turn, can help me get to sleep
I’ve really grown to love it.
Revolution Pout Bomb Lipgloss: Cookie
I’m into lipglosses at the moment and this one is amazing.
It’s not sticky, the minty tingle and scent isn’t overpowering, it does plump your lips a little, the colour is really opaque and your lips don’t end up crazy dry.
Of course, you do have to re-apply it throughout the day but I have no complaints, especially at such an affordable price.
I tried a few glosses from Nyx, as they famously do some really nice lip products, but in my opinion they lose to Revolution here.
