Blue Cocoon

This isn’t an ordered list, but Blue Cocoon had to be mentioned first. This is the most luxurious and expensive beauty product I have ever owned and I have no regrets. If I could only pick one product to use for the rest of my life, this would be it. Blue Cocoon is hydrating, soothing, calming for the senses, it plays well with actives, smooths out skin texture… whatever you’re looking for a skincare product to do, this one probably does it.

Haru Haru Wonder Black Rice Toner

I received this complimentary from YesStyle in exchange for an honest review.
This is slightly thicker than your average toner, but its just the right consistency and texture. This means you can apply it with your hands rather than a cotton pad, which is just great. It soothes, smooths, hydrates and plumps the skin beautifully. I have been using this every morning and evening for several months now. I rarely find myself wanting to reach for any other toner.

Jordan Samuel Performance Eye Gel

The best value eye product I’ve tried so far. This gel is super lightweight, hydrating and is fantastic at fighting dark circles. It spreads like a dream and you only need the smallest amount – no more than half a pump, but I use even less than this.

VT Cosmetics Super Hyalon Sun Block

This is the perfect SPF for anyone with dry skin, who may appreciate a more watery or lightly milky SPF. I fell in love as soon as this touched my skin for the first time. It ticks all the boxes of my dream SPF: lightweight, hydrating, quick and easy to apply, absorbs well, doesn’t sting the eyes, glowy without being greasy.

Acnecide Benzoyl Peroxide 5% Gel

This is the best spot buster if you get occasional spots/breakouts, including painful, hormonal under skin spots that struggle to come to a head for several months. With this gel, my spots come to a head within a few days and they’re so easy to get rid of. No other spot fighting ingredient has worked for me the way this does – it’s absolutely wild how cheap this is!

Biossance Squalane & Omega Repair Cream

I didn’t like this product at first, but over time the pros began to outweighs the cons and now it’s a firm favourite. It’s a thicker cream, without being too rich, so it’s also suitable throughout the summer months. This moisturiser is great at smoothing and evening out skin texture, which makes it perfect in warmer weather when I wear less makeup. It spreads like butter, so you don’t need much at all, making the higher price tag very good value.

Curel Cleansing Oil

I’m a sucker for all types of cleansers. As far as first cleansers go, this one is perfect. It’s super affordable and you only need 2 pumps, so it lasts a long time. This melts away makeup really well, without being harsh on the skin or eyes. It’s hard to find an effective oil cleanser that doesn’t sting the eyes, so this is a really impressive product.

Beauty of Joseon Calming Serum

The name says it all. This serum combats redness and irritation really well, and is super lightweight. It’s also unscented and very affordable. Literally as simple as that.
I love the dainty dropper! …The serum is actually a light green colour, but sadly mine is pretty much empty.

Medik8 Press & Glow + Crystal Retinal

Can I cheat and put these as one? This was the ultimate duo for me in the first part of 2021 – they compliment each other so well. The Press & Glow toner is gentle enough for twice-daily use, and is amazing at getting rid of dry patches. After using this, you’ll have the best makeup application of your life. Using the Crystal Retinal at night does all the other good stuff (plumping, fading dark spots, smoothing…) and you wake up with baby-soft skin.

It’s too hard to pick a 10th product, so I’m gonna leave it at an awkward 9.
If I really had to pick something, I’d cheat and say the Biossance Overachievers Kit – absolutely epic value for money and affordable access to a full luxury skincare routine. Even if you buy 2 of these, you’ll end up with the equivalent amounts of some products in their full size for just a fraction of the cost. Plus, there are always discounts available on sites like Lookfantastic!
